Canvas Remote 1.1.2

Canvas Remote is an iOS app that integrates with Canvas Medical’s EMR and Practice Management software, enabling users to upload images and text recordings into the Canvas platform.

• For patient registration:

While logged into Canvas on your web browser and on a patient’s registration page, click on the “Link your phone” button in the navigation bar to open a QR code. Then, open the Canvas Remote app on your iPhone and scan the QR code. Your phone will provide a list of possible actions: updating patient profile picture, capturing identification card, and capturing the front/back of insurance card (for each insurance the patient holds). Select your desired action, take the picture, and the content will be uploaded to Canvas in your web browser and saved in the patient’s appropriate demographic area.

• For clinical charting:

While documenting a patient’s note, click on the phone link button in the note header to display a QR code. Open the Canvas Remote app on your iPhone, scan the QR code, and explore potential actions: documenting a visual finding, dictating history of present illness, vitals, or instructions. Opting to document a visual finding brings up the camera for capturing images that will instantly appear in Canvas within the chart note on your web browser. If you select one of the dictation options, you can speak aloud as your words are transcribed on your phone. Upon completion, the text will be uploaded to Canvas within the chart note on your web browser.
